“… For Cyprus, Education (Παιδεία) and by extension our human capital, are the foundations upon which we have built our success, and that has enabled us to overcome the challenges of our past, and upon which we must build our continued economic growth and ultimately fulfil our aspirations to become a leading international center of excellence.

Cyprus is serious about fostering a creative knowledge-based society and a strong entrepreneurial and innovation-driven economy and Engino is a Cypriot company that reflects the enormous innovation and entrepreneurial potential of Cyprus companies. We organized this event to support Engino’s efforts to further expand in the US market and help introduce their products to educators and industry professionals.

While Engino has already developed a growing online retail presence in the US for some years, the company is now poised to significantly expand their market presence here in the USA. The U.S. Department of Education’s has implemented a five-year strategic plan entitled Charting A Course For Success: America's Strategy for STEM Education” based on a vision for a future where all Americans will have lifelong access to high-quality STEM education. With that in mind, the Cyprus Trade Center believes that Engino has tremendous potential to grow its market presence here in the USA.” Aristos Constantine, Trade Commissioner, Cyprus Trade Center-NY

“… ENGINO had been pioneering the development of STEM learning solutions that help students aquire 21st century skills along with content knowledge of core STEM disciplines. We have for some years been driving the STEM CLUB on Amazon and have achieved a strong presence on online retail. By coming to the US with our own subsidiary we expect to strengthen our relationships with the education community and equip schools and makerspaces with our solutions. The Panel discussion event organized by the Trade Center has been an excellent opportunity for ENGINO to put forward our unique message on what real STEM is”
Costas Sisamos, Managing Director, Engino-Net limited.

… The U.S. market can be very hard to penetrate and extremely complex to navigate and grow, especially for a foreign companies.  The competition is fierce and product quality alone is no longer the only driver for consumer engagement and growth. Price, effective consumer marketing, trade engagement, product differentiation, effective route to market strategy, strong leadership team, along with quality and value are a few of the critical business drivers necessary to succeed in the U.S.

The event organized by the Cyprus Embassy Trade Center on February 25 is a testament of how an entrepreneur, Costas Sisamos, was able to properly line up these levers and write a U.S. success story of a Cypriot company we do not see frequently.  The event not only showcased how the vision, resilience, high work ethic and good business practices of an entrepreneur led to success, but also showcased the fact that talent, innovation and growth are no longer restricted by borders.  At Kinisis Ventures we work with Engino and other Cypriot companies with similar aspirations and help them navigate through the many complexities of the U.S. market and support them in strategically assembling those elements that will enable their business to grow and succeed.”
 Evis Savvides, Kinisis Ventures Limited

“… In an ever-changing, increasingly complex technology driven world, it’s more important than ever for a nation’s prosperity to prepare their youth with knowledge and skills to solve problems, make sense of information, and know how to gather and evaluate evidence to make decisions. These are the kinds of skills that students develop in science, technology, engineering and math.

Engino’s vision is to inspire students to become better problem solvers and future innovators and their success with their products “Made in Cyprus” makes us all proud." Maria Pappas, President Cyprus-US Chamber of Commerce
